Forest Plot
Newcastle Herald
Monday April 5, 2004
A PLANTATION of native trees will be established between the Upper Hunter Dartbrook mine and the town of Aberdeen.
A contract between State Forests and Anglo Coal will see about 70,000 spotted gum and a river red gum/flooded gum hybrid planted on buffer land later this month.
State Forests Hunter regional manager Pat Groenhout said the project was a significant step towards the development of a sustainable plantation forest industry in the Upper Hunter.
